Manifesto
What this is. What this isn't.“A record you can check is worth more than a story you can't.”
The premise
Most tokens ask you to believe. $STENO asks you to look. The chain already keeps the full record — every transfer, every pool, every block, in order, forever. We don't add to it. We set it in type, daily, and link every figure back to its source.
Why a gazette
Newspapers earned trust two ways: print what happened, and show where it came from. That is the whole trick — and here, it is the whole product. When the record is quiet, the Gazette prints that too. Quiet is also a fact.
The steno
The daily page is drafted by an automated transcriber — a model that reads on-chain events and writes them plainly. It says so on every edition. Every number carries a link; every edition carries an as-of. If the chain ever disagrees with the page, the chain wins.
Phase n
Features we haven't built are labeled Phase n — agent execution among them. A label is not a promise; it is the absence of one, in writing.
What this isn't
This is not trading advice. It is not a fund, a treasury desk, or a yield scheme. It holds no one's money and promises no one's returns. The only thing on sale here is a view of the record — and that part is free.
Publisher's note
The Gazette is published by the $STENO project on Robinhood Chain (chain 4663), issued via PONS. Say hello on X — the handle ships with the account, not before.
